The new Gun Lake Casino
The new Gun Lake Casino in Michigan was expected to be a success, but no one was expecting what happened this past Friday. The casino was completely swamped, and the filled parking lots forced law enforcement officials to close down the exit ramps. The ramps were closed until the gamblers left the casino.
“We do not have a firm number on capacity,” General Manager of Gun Lake David Frankhouser said in a statement. “That is a judgment call for security to make based on the number of people walking around the facility.” He also stated that “We are at capacity right now. Our parking lot is full and our sign indicates that fact to the public.”
Michigan residents have been anticipating this casino for years, and so the casino staff did not try to encourage gamblers to leave and a return at a different time, instead, they suggested that the people wait for their turn to go inside. They planned to monitor the situation every hour, and as people left, to fill their spots with those waiting outside.
This is not the first new casino to be successful following the latest slump in the industry. Positive stories such as these are certainly good news for casino enthusiasts and companies like Sightline Payments LLC with Kirk Sanford.
